Today, we’re thrilled to unveil the newest addition to the Office Template series: Shoutouts. Like the Out of Office app, it is a brand new template, available to customize, use as is, customize or use as an inspiration to build your own powerapp. By using the PowerApps Office 365 Outlook connector, and Office 365 Users connector, the app allows you to utilize the power of Microsoft APIs to better connect to and appreciate your peers.

In my last blog post I covered support options and the many ways to get help using PowerApps. Today, I’d like to expand on the opportunities that you have to partner and collaborate with us. We believe that the success of PowerApps depends largely on whether you can be successful building apps. Therefore, we are developing programs designed to facilitate feedback, and to enable you to participate in the roadmap of PowerApps features worldwide!

It is a wonderful thing when PowerApps works as intended, and we’re all able to make and use awesome apps quickly and easily! Although this occurs most of the time, we know how frustrating it can be when you’re bottlenecked due to lack of information, product issues, and/or unclear error messages. With that said, I’d like to outline the many options available for getting support when you need it.

PowerApps currently doesn’t support out of the box multi-valued fields – columns in a data source that can take zero or more of a predefined set of values. This post shows a workaround to enable this scenario, by using a group of checkbox controls to toggle the selection of the possible items.
