The May Vancouver User Group has a very special guest speaker, Shannon Lindsay from the Microsoft certification team! After the meeting kick off by noted Power Platform expert and Microsoft Business Applications MVP Scott Durow and Microsoft Technical specialist Ali Sharifi covering the highlights of the month, Shannon Lindsay will walk the Vancouver User Group members through the Microsoft certification process and best practices for taking the exams with Charles Sterling concluding the meeting walking through using custom connectors to call Azure functions from Power Apps

In Nov’19, we introduced a way to add your canvas apps to Microsoft Teams. Since we added this capability, we’ve seen several of you take advantage of it to bring personal productivity apps to Teams. Starting this week, we’re simplifying this experience further by eliminating the need to download the app manifest.

“Demo Extravaganza” is an incredibly fun community event where the contributors submits samples, community votes on which samples they want to see more of and have the top three authors show how their sample were built, best practices employed and challenges they overcame!

If you want to participate here are the key dates!

Entries start – May 10th
Finalist voting starts – June 1st
Finalist voting ends – June 30th
Application Finals / Winner Announced – July 21st
Component Finals demonstrate -August 18th

With this feature, Microsoft Power Apps portals supports Power Apps CLI to enable CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) of portal configuration. You can now check-in the portal configuration to source control and move portal configuration to any environment using Power Apps CLI.
