Apps for everyone: updates to Power Apps pricing and licensing

This week we’re wrapping up our fiscal year, a year of unprecedented growth for Power Apps. It’s a good moment to reflect on how far we’ve come together as a community and what it means to take the low code movement to the next, even larger scale. Today we announced on the official Microsoft Licensing blog that we’ll be making some changes to the price of Power Apps this Fall – reducing our prices for both the Per User and Per App plans and simplifying Per User in the process.

Power Fx coming to Model-driven Power Apps, Dataverse, and more

Announcing Power Fx integration with Model-driven Power Apps commanding and Dataverse calculated columns and rollups. We have also partnered with Acumatica to evaluate how Power Fx can be leveraged with the low code/no code experience they offer to their customers. And finally we have an update on our planned open source architecture.

Three new Power Apps Solutions to enhance information discovery and create more inclusive organizations

We are excited to announce the preview release of three new Power Apps Solutions on Dataverse for Teams: Profile+, Boards, and Perspectives. These apps are an addition to the series of extendable sample apps such as Employee Ideas, Inspections, Issue Reporting, Bulletins, and Milestones. These template solutions are helping organizations accelerate their journey to integrate Line of Business applications directly into the collaboration fabric of Teams and unlocking the next stage of digital transformation. Add your canvas apps to Microsoft Teams

In Nov’19, we introduced a way to add your canvas apps to Microsoft Teams. Since we added this capability, we’ve seen several of you take advantage of it to bring personal productivity apps to Teams. Starting this week, we’re simplifying this experience further by eliminating the need to download the app manifest.
