Power Apps Community Call – March 25, 2020

March brings us another great Power Apps community call with an amazing all-star line up!

As always, our master of ceremonies and Power Apps wizard, Todd Baginski will kick off the call. Reza will then walk us through Power Apps Components and how they can save you a ton of application creation time. Sancho Harker will then show us how to use the App Branding template that enables re-branding any inserted controls or screens without having to manually edit any properties of the controls or screens. Mathew Devaney will walk though best practices learned when writing the Crossword Countdown Game. Then Todd and Chuck will close the call with any news and announcements.

Our presenters

Todd Baginski

I’m a proud Partner, and the CTO at Canviz where I am currently leading several projects that include PowerApps, Azure, Office 365, SharePoint Framework, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, full web stack, and numerous other technologies.

Sharing my expertise and knowledge with others is important to me, I love to teach. I’ve been blessed to receive the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award for the last 13 years. This award recognizes my contributions to the technical communities I am a part of.

For over a decade, I have created close relationships with the Microsoft SharePoint & Azure teams which provides me access to early releases. My team and I work closely with the Microsoft teams before products are released publicly to develop training and samples that are distributed worldwide to architects and developers.

I give back to my local community by coaching and growing youth sports teams; emphasizing hard work, excellent sportsmanship, teamwork, and leadership.

Sancho Harker

Sancho creates new processes or redesigns legacy processes using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint. He also provides additional support and integration capabilities through a variety of languages, platforms, and technologies, such as PowerShell, CSS, JSON, and many more.

Sancho enjoys helping others and can become very animated if asked to elaborate on a topic that he knows/loves. His passion for computers and technology stems from his father, who sadly passed away when he was a young age.

As an autistic person, the modern workplace environment can sometimes be a struggle. Power Apps has changed his life, not only professionally but also personally. It has given him a chance to be part of a larger community where his input is valued and respected.
