PowerApps Admin Analytics
Who can access Admin Analytics?
The preview release is enabled for a tenant admin with a P2 license. The tenant admins needs to be a part of the Environment Administrator role for that environment.
What is the scope of the data?
This initial release allows tenant admins to view these reports on a per environment basis for a maximum period of 28 days. We are also working to enable these reports for environment admins without tenant admin privileges.
Where is my data stored?
When a user first creates an environment from a region, the environment is always hosted in that region. The data is stored only in the region that the environment is hosted.
Where do I find the reports?
Tenant admins can view the reports by visiting https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com. On the left navigation bar, select Analytics and then PowerApps. The preview contains 4 different reports for the PowerApps admin.
Usage provides usage trends across regions. It also provides a view of the different OS platforms and player version being used in the different regions.
Location provides a map-based view of usage. This report give a quick insight into regional adoption and usage trends.
Errors provides insights into the toast error trends, types and counts per app to help drive improvements in app quality. The toast errors are errors that the end users see.
Service Performance provides metrics for connectors, both standard and custom connectors, to enable a better understanding of bottlenecks, app vs APIs.
How can I download the reports?
The reports are built on Power BI. On the specific report, click on the ellipsis(…) and select Export data to download the data associated with a report.
How do I change environments?
The team is working on additional metrics in areas of performance and errors as well as enabling the existing reports for environment admins. In addition, we are looking to provide tenant level aggregation and much more. In the meantime, try out the power platform’s admin analytics and let us know your feedback!
