AIS - Event App for Company Offsite

Quickly publish a cross platform app for team and company events with details for attendees to review schedule, publish documents, share photos and fill out surveys.

The Problem

The company offsite is next week and it would be nice to have a cross platform event app that can provide:

  • An up-to-date schedule of sessions;
  • The ability to download documents associated with a session;
  • The ability to share pictures, and
  • The ability to respond to a survey, among others.

While there are a number of event apps in the market, there were a couple of considerations:

  1. All the attendees are your organizations employees;
  2.  All of the data about the sessions – date and times, presentations and even survey data – is already in SharePoint Online;
  3. The app needs to be integrated with Outlook web and desktop, and finally,
  4. The app needs to be in place in less than a week.

The Solution

Our company offsite app can use the SharePoint lists as the data source for the app.
