PowerApps Admin Analytics

Headshot of article author Girish Nedungadi

As part of the recent preview release of the Power platform Admin Center, we are happy to announce that analytics for the Power Apps admin is now available in public preview. This preview includes reports for Common Data Services, Microsoft Flow and PowerApps. It provides insights for admins to drive governance and change management services to users.

Who can access Admin Analytics?

The preview release is enabled for a tenant admin with a P2 license. The tenant admins needs to be a part of the Environment Administrator role for that environment.

What is the scope of the data?

This initial release allows tenant admins to view these reports on a per environment basis for a maximum period of 28 days. We are also working to enable these reports for environment admins without tenant admin privileges.

Where is my data stored?

When a user first creates an environment from a region, the environment is always hosted in that region. The data is stored only in the region that the environment is hosted.

Where do I find the reports?

Tenant admins can view the reports by visiting https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com. On the left navigation bar, select Analytics and then PowerApps. The preview contains 4 different reports for the PowerApps admin.

Usage provides usage trends across regions. It also provides a view of the different OS platforms and player version being used in the different regions.

More coming

The team is working on additional metrics in areas of performance and errors as well as enabling the existing reports for environment admins. In addition, we are looking to provide tenant level aggregation and much more.  In the meantime, try out the power platform’s admin analytics and let us know your feedback!
