Dataverse demystified | Using the Power Platform’s advanced data backend for all your apps

Headshot of article author Marc Mercuri

We’ve been happy to see a lot of excitement about Dataverse, Power Platform’s managed data service.

Low code developers are getting access to Dataverse for Teams through M365 and building out solutions on Dataverse for Teams that include data powered apps, chat bots, and cloud flows.   As they look forward, they want to learn about additional capabilities in Dataverse and how they can upgrade them.

Pro devs that have heard about Dataverse now want to learn how it’s features can help them go further, faster – from the ability to get a single managed service that brings together their favorite Azure data services under a common API to robust extensibility with plugins and messaging integration.

I had a chance to sit down with Jeremy Chapman on Microsoft Mechanics and we had a demo-filled discussion.  The interview covers the topics we get asked about most and covers everything from building low code Power Apps with Dataverse for Teams to defining business rules to creating search powered chatbots with Power Virtual Agents to a tour of pro dev capabilities in Dataverse.

I’m happy to share this video is now online, you can find it here.
